MYAA Soccer will not open for the Spring 2021
Dear MYAA Membership,
The MYAA Board has unanimously voted to dissolve the organization. Thank you again to all the volunteers through the years that made MYAA successful.
To keep soccer available in the community, the Manhattan Park District has agreed to take over the administrative responsibilities. We will work with them to transition the program, and your feedback is critical. If you have any concerns, please contact us at email@example.com. From the parent's perspective, you will see very little change. Practices and games will still be played at the Smith Road fields, age groups will stay the same, and parent volunteers will coach. Games will consist of both in-house play and travel to neighboring communities.
Please support soccer in Manhattan by giving this new program through the Manhattan Park District a chance. Updates from the Park District on Fall registration will be available very soon.
Many people who we’ve come in contact with have had various thoughts on who The MYAA is and what we are about. Hopefully this will help you to understand a little bit more about the organization.
The ‘Who is the MYAA’ is pretty easy. The MYAA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established in October of 1999. We were founded by a group of community parents to ensure that our kids would have the ability to play sports and to help maintain and build fields. We provide a place for kids aged 3-14 to learn and fall in love with the game of soccer.
