MYAA Soccer will not open for the Fall 2020
Looking forward to seeing you in the Spring 2021.
We thank you for your patience as MYAA reviewed the guidelines for Phase 4 under both the state of Illinois and the Illinois Youth Soccer Association. There have been many discussions over the past months in an attempt to put together a safe soccer season. We are a 100% volunteer run organization which lends to certain limitations. The Board thinks that the measures needed to safely protect our families is not feasible at this time. It is with disappointment that the MYAA Board has determined that we will not have a Fall 2020 season.
Looking forward, MYAA is looking for more parent volunteers to help grow our organization. Currently, the position of secretary is open. We are in need of more parents to coach, to be team parents, or to help with planning from season to season. Let’s take this pause from our time on the field to improve the organization. If conditions improve, especially after children go back to school, we are looking towards the possibility for a soccer clinic. If you are interested in helping our soccer program move forward as we enter 2021, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many people who we’ve come in contact with have had various thoughts on who The MYAA is and what we are about. Hopefully this will help you to understand a little bit more about the organization.
The ‘Who is the MYAA’ is pretty easy. The MYAA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established in October of 1999. We were founded by a group of community parents to ensure that our kids would have the ability to play sports and to help maintain and build fields. We provide a place for kids aged 3-14 to learn and fall in love with the game of soccer.
