2012 Irish Fest
( www.manhattanirishfest.com)
The MYAA is in need of a number of volunteers in order to be eligible to share in the profits from this year's Irish Fest.
Many of our members may not be aware that the MYAA is a non-profit organization operating completely from our own sources of revenue.
Our local taxing bodies support us with the use of some of their facilities, but we don't receive money from any taxing body.
Every dollar we receive through efforts like the Irish Fest helps us to keep our costs down so that all of our kids can enjoy being a part of our baseball, softball and soccer programs at reasonable costs to our families.
Please take a look at your schedules and see where you can fit in a few hours to help our programs. Even if you aren't available to help with this fundraiser, there are many ways that you can help to keep our programs going for the kids of Manhattan.
'Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.'
~Marjorie Moore
