Upcoming events for our Division

 

  • New section links are available in the menu to the left.  Click on the specific Baseball Program, Softball Program or T-ball Program links for specific information on those programs.

 

  • Walk in registration for the Spring 2010 Recreational baseball/softball/t-ball programs is now over.  Mail in, fax in and on-line late registrations are currently being accepted.  Click on our "Registration" link for more information.  

 

  • Picture day for the 2010 season will be Saturday, April 17th, 2010.  Location and times will be posted as we near that event.

 

 

  • Player evaluation dates and times are located in the Baseball News and Softball News sections of each program.

 

  • FREE BASEBALL COACHES CLINIC

    Lincoln-Way High School is offering FREE Baseball Coaching Clinics to area programs.  They are as follows:

    Saturday, January 30th - 8am to 12noon at Lincoln-Way East Main Gym

    Saturday, February 20th - 8am to 12noon at Lincoln-Way North Field house

    These Clinics are "Coaches Only", no kids.

    The clinics, which will be led by baseball coaches from the high schools, will offer tips on how to teach kids how to hit, pitch and field. They also will discuss practice design, ideas for age-appropriate drills and how to diagnose problems in players.

  • Pujols' return delayed at least 1 day (AP)
    Albert Pujols was expected to rejoin the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup on Wednesday, but his return has been pushed back at least one more day. Pujols was originally slated to play first base, then was moved to designated hitter before becoming a late scratch against the Washington Nationals because of a sore back.
  • Hunter: Black Latino players 'impostors' (AP)
    Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter insists he meant no harm toward Latino players when he referred to them as "impostors" while discussing the number of African-Americans in the major leagues. Hunter's original comments were made two weeks ago in one of a series of USA Today roundtables about baseball and published in Wednesday's editions.
